The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. This exquisite fire truck from Baltimore, MD, appeared at Raleigh, North Carolina's Fire Department Centennial Celebration in the summer of 2012. I took a bunch of photographs that day and did paintings from the photos.
