I have painted this view of Raleigh a couple of times, but I plan to go back for more! The viewpoint is from historic Dorothea Dix Hospital. The view from this property wasn't all that great until a tornado came through a couple years a go and cleared out JUST enough large trees to create this beautiful vista. That's called irony.
